Bybit Review in Brief
The Bybit platform offers a great environment for both casual and advanced traders looking for many tools and options to trade cryptocurrencies. Bybit also ranked among the top derivative exchanges, which was its initial focus; however, you will no longer find derivatives within Bybit EU. What pleased many traders, though, was the introduction of access to the spot cryptocurrency market, which users had long wanted implemented. Those more experienced in trading will certainly appreciate the leverage of up to 1:10.

In addition, on Bybit you will find trading bots, an Earn program with rewards, or a native payment card with up to 10% cashback for the first month and discounts at selected partners. Additional services also include a launchpool, where you can get rewards in the form of new tokens for free. The range of services and tools is now also complemented by a VIP program.
Regarding deposits, you can send both fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies to your account. For investors, the "One-Click Buy" cryptocurrency function is available. Bybit's trading fees are generally lower, but expect a higher fee for direct card purchases. That covers the quick summary; more detailed information is broken down for you below in our Bybit review.
Bybit Review – Introductory Information about the Exchange
The Bybit exchange was founded in 2018 by Ben Zhou, who became interested in cryptocurrencies in 2016. Seeing their future potential, he decided to establish his own crypto exchange named Bybit. He wanted to focus on developing a tool that would, of course, exchange cryptocurrencies between each other and for fiat money, but his vision was to add further tools more suitable for trading.
In 2019, the Bybit exchange reached 10% of the global realized trading volumes in Bitcoin and also ranked among the top 4 exchanges in the world. In 2021, it added the option for spot trading to its offering, which its community wanted implemented into the platform. We can therefore say that the main motto "we listen, we care, we improve" really holds true here.
Supported Cryptocurrencies on Bybit
It should be noted that on the Bybit exchange, you will not find any assets other than cryptocurrencies. Numerically, there should be more than 500 of them on Bybit for spot trading, so the selection is truly massive. We find classic cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, as well as newer assets:
- bitcoin (BTC),
- ethereum (ETH),
- ripple (XRP),
- solana (SOL),
- polkadot (DOT),
- tether (USDT),
- dogecoin (DOGE),
- trump (TRUMP),
- avalanche (AVAX) etc.

Bybit Review – Markets for Trading
On the Bybit EU platform, users can trade cryptocurrencies on the classic spot market as well as through spot trading with leverage. In a standard spot purchase, the trader uses only their own funds and actually owns the purchased cryptocurrency. Bybit EU currently does not offer classic derivative products such as futures, perpetual contracts, or options.
Spot trading with leverage allows using borrowed funds and leverage up to 1:10 for supported pairs. Traders can thus speculate on both price increases and decreases. This is not a derivative contract, but a trade with actual cryptocurrencies where the user borrows part of the funds from the platform.
Interest is charged on the borrowed amount, and in the event of unfavorable market development, the position may be automatically closed. The maximum available leverage may vary depending on the specific trading pair.

What is the Spot Market?
The spot market is a place where cryptocurrencies (but also stocks, commodities, or other financial instruments) are bought and sold at the current market price and their delivery (or settlement) takes place immediately. In other words – a trade on the spot market means that you actually own the asset immediately after purchase (and in the case of cryptocurrencies, you can, for example, immediately send them to a crypto wallet).
How the Spot Market Works
On the spot market, traders buy assets if they expect their price to rise and sell them when they anticipate a fall. Each transaction takes place at the current exchange price, the so-called spot price.
The example is simple. If you buy bitcoin on Bybit for 100 euros, you immediately become its owner. If the price later rises by 10%, you can sell it for 110 euros and realize a profit of 10 euros.
Spot trading is therefore considered the simplest and safest form of trading. It is particularly suitable for beginners or long-term investors who want to actually own cryptocurrencies instead of speculating on their price.
Types of Orders on the Bybit Spot Market
On the Bybit platform, you can choose various types of orders when placing trades. In our research, we found these orders:
- Limit Order: Allows you to specify the exact price at which you want to buy or sell a cryptocurrency. The trade is executed only when the market reaches this price. It is suitable for situations where you want to buy cheaper or sell higher.
- Market Order: Executed immediately at the current exchange price. Simply enter the amount and the system will automatically carry out the trade. This type is used when speed is the priority, not the exact price.
- Conditional Order / Stop Order: Activated only after reaching a certain trigger price. It serves to automatically secure profits or limit losses (take-profit and stop-loss – more below).
- OCO Order (One Cancels the Other): Combines two orders – limit and stop. When one of them is activated, the other is automatically cancelled. Useful if you want to have both a profit target and loss protection set at the same time.
- Stop loss / Take profit: These additional orders serve for automatic trade management. "Stop loss" closes a position when a certain loss is reached to prevent further losses, while "Take profit" closes a position when a target profit is reached. For example, if you buy bitcoin for 100 euros, you can set a stop loss at 95 euros and a take profit at 110 euros. This ensures that the trade will automatically end either with a profit or a limited loss, even if you are not actively monitoring the market.

Bybit Review – Buying and Selling Cryptocurrencies on Bybit
There are several ways to buy cryptocurrencies on Bybit or add funds to your trading account. In our review, we will look at the spot trading account. Let's now introduce how to buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and how to deposit fiat currencies.
One-Click Buy
Using One-Click Buy, you can buy bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies very quickly and easily. All you need to do is choose the fiat currency for the purchase – CZK, EUR, USD, or others, and choose the amount. Next, you choose which payment method to use – currently available are:
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Payment cards
- ZEN.COM
Caution – as is common with such direct purchases on exchanges, this option is relatively disadvantageous. As you can see in the image, the price of 1 BTC is valued here at 2,494,150 CZK. However, the market rate for BTC at the same moment is 2,394,607 CZK. You will therefore pay more for the same amount of BTC (specifically, it's a difference of about 4.1% within BTC/CZK, which is quite significant; for BTC/EUR the difference is only about 2.8%, so using EUR is more advantageous here).

To summarize the One-Click Buy function, it is essentially a place where you can enter payments and trading transactions of cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies very simply and with a few clicks. All exchanges of fiat currency for cryptocurrencies (or vice versa) can be done here, but it is usually less advantageous than on the exchange.
Buying with Cryptocurrencies
However, if you would like to exchange crypto for crypto, you need to find the transaction on P2P (currently unavailable for Bybit EU) or in the "Convert" tool, where you can quickly exchange cryptocurrencies between each other. Here, the spread is significantly better than in the previous option, where, for example, for an exchange of USDC and BTC, it will be only 1.7% on one side (but it always depends on the specific moment and the cryptocurrencies you enter for exchange).
You can also, of course, send cryptocurrencies to Bybit from your crypto wallet or from another exchange. Just click the Deposit Cryptocurrency button and select the crypto to deposit. For each blockchain, the minimum limit will be displayed. Due to regulation, you cannot deposit cryptocurrency without KYC.

Buying via Peer-to-Peer (currently unavailable on Bybit EU)
Cryptocurrencies (BTC, LTC, USDT, ETH, or USDC and others) and fiat currencies can be exchanged within Peer-to-Peer payments, which should not contain any fees. You have many offers from other users to choose from. You can thus decide whether any of them suit you or not.

Bybit Review – Fees
On Bybit, you will find different types of fees – on the spot market when executing a trade, during direct cryptocurrency purchases or exchanges, and finally for deposits/withdrawals.
As we mentioned above, you can make deposits and withdrawals using payment cards or cryptocurrencies; fees for depositing and withdrawing cryptocurrencies via blockchain are lower, while fees are usually higher when using payment cards.
Fees for Buying Cryptocurrency via One-Click Buy
Fees for buying with a payment card should not be present here, but you will get a different exchange rate for each payment method within the "One-Click Buy" option. You can pay quickly via, for example, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a payment card, but for local currencies, expect a spread of up to 4% on one side (i.e., only for buying or only for selling).

It is more advantageous in this regard to use, for example, euros (EUR), where the spread is significantly reduced.
Fees for Fiat Currency Deposits
A more advantageous but time-consuming choice will be depositing fiat currencies. Currently, only euros are supported for deposits, but you can send them via SEPA transfer without a fee. It is therefore worthwhile to first deposit fiat currency into your Bybit account and only then exchange it for the selected cryptocurrency.
Bybit Trading Fees
Trading fees on spot vary according to the VIP level the trader has. These are defined by conditions that the trader must meet. For non-VIP traders, which most users will be, these fees are set (first row "Not VIP").
Note, this applies to crypto-for-crypto exchange. For fiat-for-crypto, the taker fee is 0.25% and the maker fee is 0.10% (up to 10,000 USD traded per month).

To advance to at least the first VIP level (VIP 1) on the Bybit platform, a user must reach a minimum spot trading volume over the last 30 days. A user with a volume lower than 550,000 USD remains in the "Not VIP" category, while the VIP 1 level starts after exceeding this threshold – i.e., approximately from 550,000 USD monthly volume upwards.
After reaching VIP 1 level, trading fees are significantly reduced. The maker fee (fee for adding liquidity) drops from the original 0.10% to 0.0675%, and the taker fee (fee for removing liquidity) is reduced to a fixed 0.10%. As a result, the user gains VIP 1 status and begins to benefit from lower fees and other advantages of higher standing on the Bybit platform.
Cryptocurrency Deposit/Withdrawal Fees
If you want to receive your cryptocurrencies on the Bybit platform, for example from your wallet or another exchange, you can do so for free. You pay no fees for depositing cryptocurrencies. Bybit EU charges a fixed fee for on-chain withdrawals, the amount of which depends on the cryptocurrency and the chosen network. The current amount will be displayed before confirming the withdrawal.
KYC on Bybit – Mandatory, but complete it within 3 minutes
Know Your Customer (KYC) is a set of processes that require financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges to verify the identity of their customers. Bybit EU uses KYC to identify customers and analyze their risk profiles. This verification helps prevent money laundering and the financing of illegal activities.
After completing KYC verification, you gain access to cryptocurrency purchases and Earn products, as well as exclusive access to promotions and events such as Launchpool. Bybit currently has 3 KYC levels set:
Standard Individual KYC: The basic level allows deposits and withdrawals of cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies, cryptocurrency purchases by payment card or via external payment services, cryptocurrency exchange, spot and margin trading, and use of Launchpool, Token Splash, Bybit Pay, Spot Grid, DCA, and Earn products. The daily limit for cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal is 1 million USDC. For fiat currencies, the daily limit for deposit and withdrawal is set at 500,000 EUR. Users at this level can also earn rewards through the Rewards Hub, but cannot order a Bybit Card.
Advanced Individual KYC: The advanced level provides access to all services available under Standard KYC and additionally allows obtaining a Bybit Card. The daily limit for cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal increases to 2 million USDC. For fiat currencies, the daily limit for deposit and withdrawal is 600,000 EUR. This level is particularly suitable for users who want to use a payment card or need higher limits for cryptocurrency and fiat transfers.
Pro Individual KYC: The highest level of verification is intended primarily for users working with significantly higher volumes of fiat currencies. The daily limit for cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal remains at 2 million USDC, same as Advanced KYC. However, the daily limit for fiat currency deposit and withdrawal increases up to 8 million EUR. Users have access to all supported Bybit EU services, including Bybit Card, margin trading, trading bots, Earn products, and the Rewards Hub.

Bybit Review – Rewards Hub Program
Bybit EU offers its users various discounts and gifts through the Rewards Hub platform, which they can obtain by meeting set conditions or tasks. However, these rewards are not available to everyone – they can only be received by users who have completed all necessary identification steps according to the platform's General Terms and Conditions, primarily KYC verification.

Bybit EU provides these rewards voluntarily and free of charge, reserving the right to withdraw them at any time.
Completing Tasks and Earning Rewards
To receive a reward, a user must completely fulfill the tasks listed on the Rewards Hub page, such as performing a certain number of trades. Crucially, you only get the reward upon full completion of the task before the set deadline – partial completion or completion after the deadline brings no rewards.
Only activities performed on the Bybit EU platform count towards task completion. All tasks and rewards are limited in time and quantity and are provided on a "first come, first served" basis.
Registration Bonus for New Players
The Welcome Gifts program represents an ideal entry offer for new users, guiding you through the platform's basic functions. Individual rewards are designed to gradually introduce you to key activities – from account verification and the first deposit to trading and staking. The total value of bonuses can reach up to 30 USDC, which you receive in the form of spot rewards directly to your account.

Current rewards can be found HERE.
In addition, within the Rewards Hub, there are also daily competitions and tournaments, which we definitely recommend checking out and potentially participating in.

Security of the Bybit Exchange
Bybit EU places great emphasis on the security of its users and their funds. The platform utilizes modern security measures including two-factor authentication (2FA), which significantly increases account protection against unauthorized access. Most user funds are stored in cold wallet storage, i.e., offline wallets not connected to the internet, thus protected from cyberattacks.
Regulation within the EU
As a European platform, Bybit EU is fully regulated in accordance with the MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, which came into force in the European Union. This means stricter compliance with rules, mandatory KYC verification of all users, and transparent operating procedures. MiCA regulation provides users with a higher level of consumer protection and ensures that the platform operates according to European standards for financial services.
Additional Security Measures
Bybit EU implements advanced encryption protocols to protect sensitive data and communication between users and the platform. The system also continuously monitors suspicious activities and transactions, helping to prevent fraud and money laundering.
Users also have the option to set a whitelist of addresses for withdrawals, ensuring that funds can only be sent to pre-approved addresses. The platform also offers notifications for all logins and transactions, so you have an overview of all activities on your account.
Final Summary of Bybit Review – Who is it suitable for?
The Bybit exchange provides users and traders with a lot, including advanced trading functions and tools. For beginners, this exchange and its platform may seem somewhat confusing, but once they learn the environment, they should be able to navigate it well.
Regarding fees, Bybit EU offers competitive rates for spot trading – the basic fee of 0.1% for makers and 0.25% takers is among the lowest on the market. However, the option of direct cryptocurrency purchase by card via One-Click Buy is less advantageous, where the spread can climb up to 4% for local currencies.
Mandatory KYC verification may be a disadvantage for some users; however, it should be seen as a standard within European legislation and a guarantee of a legal and safe environment. Furthermore, completing the verification takes only a few minutes and unlocks access to attractive welcome bonuses worth up to 30 USDC and other benefits within the Rewards Hub program.
Bybit EU is therefore particularly suitable for traders who want to combine the security of a regulated platform with advanced trading tools, various order types, and a VIP rewards program.
